Meet the Executives

A Business Strategist, Risk Management, and Insurance Consultant with over 40 years’ experience and Alumni of leading global learning institutions.

Odunayo had valuable active career working across all the sectors of the insurance industry value chain in various technical and managerial positions including leading a couple as CEO over an uninterrupted period of 10years, before joining the public service as the first General Manager, and later as the Group General Manager in charge of Group Risk Management and Insurance of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). In the course of his service years with the NNPC, he served as Managing Director of NNPC Properties Ltd and Group General Manager overseeing Strategy and Execution of the Corporate Services Directorate.

Through professional and industry activities over several years, amongst other roles, he served as Member of the Governing Council of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Education Secretary and Member of the Examination and Membership Committees of the Institute; Member, Governing Council of the Nigeria Insurers Association (NIA) as well as Treasurer of the Association.

His knack for continuous improvement through the development and implementation of best practices while recognizing the impact of local challenges is well known amongst professional colleagues and he is involved in mentoring and supporting the younger generation to achieve their respective visions. 

Odunayo primed his skills in strategy, planning, technical and management through trainings and seminars from national and international institutions including Harvard Business School, INSEAD, University of Texas/PETEX, American Management Association, Euromoney, Lagos Business School and the Chartered Institute of Directors (London and Nigeria).

His current positions are:

• Chairman, The Lord’s Cruise Trust Fund.
