Gbenga is the founder and the Managing Director of Pepperdine Limited (formerly Tinex Limited) since 1987 and is a foremost expert in Optical Mark Reader technology OMR with over three decades of experience in the education sector in Nigeria.

Gbenga is a hands on Managing Director, who is quite adept in the technical aspects of the business thus his vast experiences and specialty both local and abroad in Optical Mark Reader technology has seen him designing various useful tools like Examination Processing Systems EPS, an efficient and expedient solution, an alternative to arduous, laborious manual marking of examinations, voluminous data capture and data management used over the years by several organizations and over 30 universities including but not limited to:

• West African Examination Council
• Nigerian Law School
• Lagos State University
• University of Ibadan
• University of Lagos
• Ahmadu Bello University

and state ministries of education:

• Lagos State
• Osun State
• Ondo State
• Oyo State
• Ogun State
• Delta State

Another notable milestone is that Gbenga led the company into designing and printing the high precision demanding and intricate scan-able Optical Mark Reader forms thus making it the first company to achieve this feat to produce the forms locally in Nigeria, where many big and notable printing houses failed.

His has a passion for education whereby the successes of Nigerian students especially in internal and external examinations are paramount to him. This led him to design the innovative Student Performance Improvement Program SPIP that enhances students performances thru the power of in-depth sophisticated Analytics and OMR, by identifying the weaknesses of students in each topic/subject to teachers for further proper intervention. As this also helps teachers to refine their teaching skills, the results have been remarkable.

Gbenga holds a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from California State University, Northridge and an MBA from the prestigious Pepperdine University in California, USA.

He worked with Bechtel Power Corporation in the US in the 80s as a structural engineer designing piping support systems for nuclear power generation plants across the US.

He attended training sessions on:
• scanmarks series scanners with Scantron in the US, Athens, Cape Town
• AXM series scanners with Axiome in Switzerland
• Hemera series (used for processing national and presidential elections in the US) with Datawin in Germany.

He is a jazz enthusiast who plays piano, flute and guitar.
